Mid-July I packed my posters and my samples and rented a $3000 booth at the Natural Products Association trade show in Las Vegas. I think I was the only vendor there who was all alone - just me and my sore feet from schlepping the booth supplies from my hotel room to the convention center. But sore feet or not - it was a booming success for Limba Systems!
In Vegas I met an incredible crowd of wonderful health-and-nature-minded people - sales reps wanting to carry my line, big stores asking the hard questions (for which I had answers - good ones I hope!) I came home after four days in gambling-land starry-eyed and happy. I rested for a day, then right back to work.
I've decided on new packaging - more retail-shelf-friendly than my current shrink wrap. The shrink wrap was a great choice for the beginning - very minimal packaging, after all - but it was labor intensive. I'm waiting to see my new boxes, which will be recycled cardboard and very purty.
The design end of this business is my favorite thing. But it's also fun to have finally found a niche for myself that allows me to express all my
sides: art and design, cooking, organic gardening, health of the planet, animal welfare, female empowerment... I am very very lucky.
Now I am supposed to make calls. According to Those Who Know, I am now supposed to become a thorn in the sides of the retailers who showed interest in my line. I don't want to be a thorn. I know better than to reinvent the wheel, but still...it's hard to be a pest. And besides, LimbaSlim works and women everywhere are loving it.

So no thorns. Here's a rose instead.
Love your body,
Rebecca
